When I started looking to buy tickets to Machu Picchu, the bus and guides, I became very frustrated. I found this company and was relieved from my frustration. They purchased the correct circuits for us at Machu Picchu, our bus tickets and arranged for our guides. They had someone meet ussst the train, guide us to our hotel, tell us where to meet our bus and guides and basically cleared up all the confusion associated with independent travel. We had the same guide, Samuel, for 2 days. He guided us on Circuit 2A the first day. The second day we walked through Circuit 3A and met Samuel at the base of the Huayna Picchu trail. He guided us up Huayna Picchu, kept us safe, and told is all the amazing things about the mountain. We feel blessed to have found this company and Samuel to make our experience wonderful!

If you are planning to visit Machu Picchu, there are two main ways to experience this world-famous destination.
The most popular option is trekking. The Inca Trail is the most famous route, followed by the Salkantay Trek and other routes known as alternative hikes to Machu Picchu. These treks typically last 2, 4, or up to 9 days. While they require physical effort, the experience is unforgettable, and the landscapes along the way are truly breathtaking.

If you prefer a more comfortable journey—without camping or hiking for 8 to 10 hours a day—the Machu Picchu tour by train is the best option. Whether you take a tour of Machu Picchu or visit on your own, it is important to consider the months you plan to travel.
If you visit from January to March, be sure to bring a rain jacket or poncho, as well as extra clothes in case you get wet.
If you’re traveling between April and the first week of August, bring a rain poncho in case the weather suddenly changes. You should also bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and a light jacket. Machu Picchu is not very cold because it is located at an elevation of 2,300 meters in the subtropical zone of Cusco. However, it is much colder when returning to Cusco due to the higher altitude.
From August to December, the weather changes again as the rainy season approaches. The weather can vary from day to day. Machu Picchu is often covered in fog in the morning, but the fog usually clears over time, revealing marvelous and spectacular views, especially from Circuit 1 and Circuit 2.
If you are taking the train to Machu Picchu or traveling from the Sacred Valley, only pack what is necessary for a two-day trip. Your daypack should be between 12 and 16 liters.
If you are doing one of the Machu Picchu hikes, contact your tour operator to confirm whether a duffel bag is included. If not, bring a 20- to 25-liter backpack to carry your hiking clothes and other personal equipment. Some tour operators include all necessary equipment.
