Our Machu Picchu tour from Lima begins with a transfer from your Lima hotel to Lima International Airport. There, you will board a domestic flight to Cusco. The flight takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Upon arrival in Cusco, a representative from Machu Picchut tour company will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign bearing your name. They will greet you and transfer you to the train station.
Before departure, your representative will provide a short briefing and helpful recommendations for your journey to Machu Picchu. You will also receive a snack bag containing dried and fresh fruit, juice, water, Gatorade, and Andean cereals. The bag is made of traditional Andean fabric inspired by the Inca calendar and can be reused as a souvenir.
Please note that it is very important not to bring heavy luggage. Traveling light will make your train journey and transfers easier and more comfortable.
Upon arrival at the train station, you will board the train to Aguas Calientes. This small town has a variety of local markets, souvenir shops, and restaurants and serves as the main gateway to Machu Picchu.
During the train ride, you will enjoy spectacular views of the Andean Mountains, sections of the classic Inca Trail, and lush landscapes. You will see charming villages, green fields, and breathtaking scenery as the train follows the Urubamba River through the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Take a 25-minute shuttle bus ride up to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. During the journey, you will admire the beautiful green mountains of Cusco’s subtropical zone, as well as views of ancient Inca ruins surrounded by lush nature.
Upon arrival, your tour guide will escort you to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu according to your reserved circuit. Enter the citadel and explore one of the most impressive architectural achievements of the Inca Empire, built during the reign of Pachacuti.
According to Machu Picchu regulations, there are three main circuits divided into multiple routes. When you book your Machu Picchu tour from Lima, our sales department will confirm the best available ticket for your visit.

Wanchaq Train Station (Bimodal Service)
The Wanchaq Train Station is located near Cusco Airport, approximately 30 minutes by car. If you have a bimodal ticket, our driver will drop you off at Wanchaq Station, where you will board a tourist bus operated by the train company. This bus will take you to Ollantaytambo Train Station, a journey of approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, the train company staff will assist you and guide you to your assigned train carriage.
Ollantaytambo Train Station
If you have booked the Panoramic, Vistadome, or other similar train services, departures usually take place from Ollantaytambo Train Station. Our driver will transfer you to Ollantaytambo, with a travel time of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Upon arrival, our driver will assist you at the station and help you board the train to Machu Picchu.
